wow!!wat a movie! rang de basanti according to me is da best movie of this month. no one other than rakyesh omprakash mehra wud have even been able to think of a story like dat. aamir khan , siddharth , n 2 other ppl (their names r aslam n sukhi in the movie ) r wastrels hu don like to leave college life n therefore after their collegin gets over have halted in the campus 4 5 yrs now. they have a girl in their grp. (soha ali khan ) hu is a gud frnd of theirs n has the same intention of staying there. here comes sue, a british filmaker hu is the grand daughter of the british general during the times of great indian revolutionaries like bhagat singh , chandrashekhar azad etc. she wants to make a documentary on them.she feels these 5 are the ppl apt 4 the roles of azad,bhagat ,ashfaqullah khan , sukhdev and durgabai.but they agree with reluctance finally.as and when they r actin they get involved into the roles n start realisin their responsibility towards free india.here soha's boyfriend and then husband , captain ajay sharma ( a kool n amazin madhavan) hu is a gud frnd of the other four n a fun lovin but patriotic mig plane fighter is killed by the corrupt ministers.even while dying,he saves the lives of villagers by not allowin the plane to crash on them.this makes the 4 guys erupt.they along with another guy ,hu is playin the role of ramprasad bismil , become their own characters(i.e the characters of freedom fighters they played on celluloid ) n work true to their role by killing the corrupt minister and finally they accept the killin in front of the all india radio.here comes a twist regarding sidharth as well.finally they all r killd n they die happily laughing and jokin as they were when they were wastrels. all songs rite from rang de basanti , masti ki paathshala n the one which comes in the climax(actually donno the startin line properly) r kool.an amazin movie to watch.will move u to tears.n will instill patriotism in u.
