Neunzehn it is...

The clock ticks by. You keep growing. The feeling of growing nineteen has quite not sinked into me yet. A birthday generally is nothing special if you look at the logical part of it, other than the fact that you were born on that day. It might not make a difference to many, but yeah, it gives you that sense of pride, that sense of ego boost, that one day of yours under the sun.

It starts off with the little cry, to the small incoherent beautiful talks, to active childhood, adolescence and moves on. I'm presently at the threshold, and on the verge of stepping into proper adulthood, and the thought is scary. At times, you feel alone when you think you have to move into the big stage. The highlight of adolescence was that you always had a support system, the parents, a few good friends, people who would give you a complete backing in all you do, but in the open world, you are all by yourself. Your parents can't back you all the while, your friends have the same new world to step into.

It is in these kind of situations that small things make a difference. A few thoughts of joy just add a lot to you. Many friends did many things which made me extremely happy over the last one day, but one thing that pleased me a big deal was the fact that many of my school friends remembered and wished me today. I would expect a few of my class 12 friends to call, but then when a chunk of my class 10 friends also called, I was really touched. To get back to wish you on your birthday after nearly 4 years of absolutely no touch was like awesome.

A birthday with an entire morning of work isn't what you would call ideal, but still, I had a lot of fun, and I would thank all those who made it memorable for me! Thank you people!
