An ode to my fellow countrymen

Life does prove to be a very risky game, risky not because of the element called death involved in it, but because of the element called emotion involved in it. People have their own emotional quotients, emotional constraints, and what not, which make it nearly impossible for human beings to go through any phase of his/her life joyless or sorrowless. But the emotion comes at a cost, the cost of having to go through a turmoil when the object/person you are emotionally attached to dies, leaves you, turns you away, ditches you, or in any situation is not allowed to or doesn't want to be with you, then there are various levels of emotional turmoils you are forced to undergo. Its part of the natural human forces, much like the gravitation, you can't switch on and switch off emotions as and when you want. This is precisely why many of us are not able to take easily scenes in movies like, say, a hand cut and rolling on the ground, easily. But what happens when your rights of life are taken away, or your best friend is a mass destructor, or say, your brother is a chief IPS officer?

In these cases, and many more, life is always at the brink of death. You never know how it would arrive, considering there would be so many many people, for and against you. As you would have guessed, this is leading to the (26,27,28,29)/11 terror attacks on the Taj, Oberoi and Nariman point locations in Mumbai. Sad, is a mild word to put it, considering the amount of destruction and emotional turmoil the whole incident has led to. The whole of India has been shaken by this, it is now talked about in rumour circles that India has the security safety of Pakistan!! But, is there no one to stop all this nonsense? What is the government doing? Blasts began in Jaipur in the mid IPL times, followed by Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Guwahati and now in Mumbai, the mother of all criminal act ports. Why is all this happening? How did the terrorists entering the country get past the post guards? Where is the country's security going to? How is it that the terrorists target Mumbai time and again, and keep succeeding each time? These questions have no answer as on today, but unless these are answered the country is not getting anywhere forward. The sadder part is that the terrorists involved in the whole thing were here for money it seems as they were told, rather cheated by being told, this was not a suicide mission it seems, and they could be back in Karachi by Friday night. The point is not about waging war on Pakistan, it about keeping our people safe. We know how emotionally affected the families of the bereaved are, and if we wage war on Pakistan, given our army strength, we'd inflict the same thing on them, but then is it asked for? Should we destroy lives of thousands and millions of innocent people, just because a few antisocials of their country hurt our people. Wouldn't it become like how Godse wanted it to be? And we still call ourselves a Gandhian nation. The country needs to reassemble itself, it needs to rise from the shambles, from the ashes like a phoenix, like it has not once, not twice, but time and again in its illustrious history of invasions, invaders and attacks. We have escaped the wrath of sections of the world, and the escapades have been eventful, some through blooded war, some through craft and intelligence, some through trade, and finally a huge one through the sharp weapon of ahimsa which got even the sharper knives blunt! The emotional turmoil associated with the Mumbai incident is not new to this great country, this great mother of ours, who has seen bigger strikes, including three Panipat wars which supposedly ruined the country, only to see the country back in full splendour within years of the war, a country which survived the world wars, a country which had the greatest men of all time born in it, right from the Ramas and Krishnas to the Gandhis and Tagores, a country where nothing can go wrong for the good,
sujalam, sufalam, malayaja sheetalam, sasya shyamalam,
The mother who has seen through all tortures and many more, will rise again, strongly, like never before, like the valiant sun, and get the whole country enlightened by her prowess.

My condolences to the families who lost their kith and kin in the terror strikes in Mumbai.
My salute to the great officers who laid down their lives for the country's cause, braved all odds and went one on one with the terrorists, YOU WILL LIVE WITH US FOREVER!!
@The instigators of the terror strikes: My dear bastards, your days are numbered. I'm sure you'd have gotten to know the strength of Indian unity through this, don't play with us again.
