Enna ma kannu..

Intriguing title? Yeah I know, neva mind though..  The title does bring back memories of a certain Sathyaraj challenging Rajinikanth in Mr.Bharat. Finally he does end up losing miserably. But then giving a small thought, you get the feeling every drastic success does not come just because of hard work, but also an amount of real fire, desire is necessary. Without that fire, whatever one wants, he might get, but might not be able to move forward on the issue.

Insults? They are one the biggest stepping stone to success. It is often said, a hurt dog is much more dangerous than a royally living tiger. In practice, though it might not be literally true, it metaphorically implies something. Imagine a couple of situations, one in which you are fully fit, no problems, but are going to charge into somebody, and another situation where you are hurt on the head, by the person you are now going to charge into. In which case will your effect of barging into him be more? Obviously the second case, where the injury will further more push you into getting rid of the person in hand.

Now this has been the claim to reaching the fame (don't read claim to fame) of many many people in the history of the world.  Right from Sachin Tendulkar, who was sent out of the MRF Pace Academy Chennai because he didn't have a height on which he could build a bowling career, by Dennis Lillee, within months, he was the toast of the country, and the youngest player ever to have played the most celebrated version of the game, test match cricket.

There was Hitler, who propelled by a small anti-German incident in the World War I, reached heights unheard of even before, and then had to be toned down, and to tone him down, an entire world war was fought. Small incidents inspire people, right from the Jallianwalah Bagh massacre, which inspired an innocent kid Bhagat Singh to revenge, and the World Trade Centre terror strikes which kickstarted the wipe out of Taliban rule in Afghanistan. It could include breaking of partnerships too. When Mani Ratnam had a fallout with Ilayaraja, he was clear about the fact that he wouldn't bow out from making musicals any more. Instead he brought in someone who would go on to achieve a name ten times as much as that of Ilayaraja's and too across the world, Allah Rakha Rahman. That is the power of inspiration, and that is the power of revenge.

Any kind of thought, inspiration, negative feelings converted to positive energies, will spell unheard of wonders for the world. Its just like the Sivaji concept of sending black money out of the country and then pumping it back in as legal money. Similarly, if some negative incident could be used for some constructive inspiration, nothing like that. Just like the coming together of the Mumbai junta after the 26/11 strikes.

So what are you going to get inspired by? Enna ma kannu??

I hereby promise myself that I'll get inspired everytime a person looks at me and says, "Wow. You're from India and you speak perfect English! Was it very tough to understand?"

I swear I'll try.

Or I could self-terminate.
